The gaming world is abuzz with excitement as AYANEO unveils its latest creation, the Pocket S2. This handheld device promises to revolutionize the way we play our favourite PC games on the go.

The Pocket S2 boasts a sleek, rounded aluminum and glass chassis designed for comfort during longer gaming sessions. But what sets it apart from its predecessors is its groundbreaking use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon G3 Gen 3, making it the first device to employ this cutting-edge technology.

One of the key features of the Pocket S2 is its support for Turnip drivers. These drivers are crucial for achieving stable and smooth performance during PC game emulation on the device. AYANEO has been working diligently to optimize Qualcomm's Snapdragon G series gaming platforms, and Turnip driver support is a testament to this effort.

With Turnip drivers, the Pocket S2 offers high-frame-rate, high-definition native gameplay of mainstream PC games and effective PC game simulation through emulators. The device also offers multiple performance modes, allowing users to balance battery life and performance during PC game emulation and native Android gaming.

The Pocket S2 also boasts advanced hardware cooling, with a fan cutout on the back plate and a "fishbone biomimetic air outlet" along the top, to prevent thermal throttling during demanding gaming sessions.

The Pocket S2 sports a 6.3-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and a brightness of 600 nits. It comes in two stylish colours: Obsidian Black and IceSoul White.

Pre-orders for the Pocket S2 are expected to open soon on Indiegogo, although the price for the special gift pack for early orders has yet to be disclosed. The device is anticipated to be an ultra-powerful gaming handheld, with an 8000mAh battery, RGB Joysticks, Hall Triggers, TMR Electromagnetic Joysticks, Micro-switch D-pad, and ABXY buttons.

The Pocket S2 uses LPDDR5X RAM and offers storage options with UFS 3.1 and UFS 4.0. A landing page for the Indiegogo campaign is available for registration.

AYANEO announced the Pocket S2 at GDC 2025, and those who pledge within the first seven days of the campaign going live will receive a special gift pack.

While not all emulators include support for third-party drivers, the Pocket S2's Turnip driver support out of the box ensures high-performance Vulkan-based graphics emulation for PC games on an Android handheld platform.

The AYANEO Pocket S2 is set to redefine the handheld gaming experience, offering a seamless blend of power, performance, and comfort. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new device.
