Advancing Security Integration through Appointment of New Everon CEO, Don Young

Don Young, the newly appointed CEO of Everon, is steering the major U.S. security integrator and solutions provider through a period of technological advancement and growth. In an exclusive interview with Rodney Bosch, Editor-in-Chief of SecurityInfoWatch, Young discusses his early priorities, industry trends, and his role in introducing a groundbreaking solution to combat the growing threat of illegal cell jammers.

With a career spanning over three decades in the security industry, Young has held several executive and C-suite leadership roles at prominent security companies, including SecurityLink, HSM, Protection 1, and ADT, where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer before joining Everon in June.

Young's 90-day roadmap at Everon focuses on assessing and driving innovation to shape the future of security integration. He aims to leverage new technologies and trends to maintain Everon's position as a major player in the industry.

One of Young's most significant contributions to the security industry is the introduction of JamAlert, a detection device designed to combat the growing threat of illegal cell jammers. The increasing usage of cellular signal jammers leaves security systems vulnerable, and DMP's JamAlert offers a much-needed solution.

Throughout his career, Young has been actively shaping broader security industry standards and collaboration. He served as President of The Monitoring Association (TMA) from 2019 to 2021 and is currently a member of the Security Industry Association's (SIA) Board of Directors. In 2013, Young co-founded the Partnership for Priority Verified Alarm Response (PPVAR) and was its first President until 2015.

Young's involvement in JamAlert indicates a focus on addressing current security threats and demonstrates his commitment to the industry's ongoing evolution. As he leads Everon through technological and strategic growth, Young continues to shape broader security industry standards and collaboration.
