AI sales enhancement and automation platform Sharpsell.ai secures Rs 30 crore in funding
Sharpsell.ai, a pioneering AI-powered sales enablement platform, has announced the successful completion of its Series A funding round. The investment, led by Equentis Angel Fund, raised approximately Rs 30 crore, making it the largest single investment by any Category-I Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) in a single company.
Founded in 2022 by Hanuman Kamma and Arun Subramanian, Sharpsell.ai offers a SaaS-based platform that equips sales teams with ready-to-use sales pitches, dynamic personalized content, and contextual coaching tools. The platform is designed to enable high-velocity sales by empowering field sales teams, aiming to help them improve their performance and digitize winning behaviours.
The platform has already found significant traction, with over lakhs of sales representatives across 30+ leading Indian companies in sectors such as BFSI, Auto, Consumer Electronics, and Pharma utilising it. Notable users include LIC, Axis Bank, IDFC First Bank, SBI Life, Koak Life, Bajaj General Insurance, Mahindra, Whirlpool, and more.
The funding will be utilised to fuel Sharpsell.ai's global ambitions, with plans to foray into international markets, primarily Southeast Asia and the MENA region. Additionally, the company aims to deepen sectoral penetration within existing verticals and enhance product capabilities.
The global spend on sales enablement tools is inching north of $12 billion, and the sales playbook automation segment remains largely untapped in India. With this investment, Sharpsell.ai is poised to make a significant impact in this space.
Hanuman Kamma, Co-founder & CEO of Sharpsell.ai, expressed his focus on building a category-defining platform for sales enablement. He stated, "Our mission is to revolutionise the way sales teams operate, and we are excited to embark on this journey with our investors."
Equentis Angel Fund, which invested Rs 10 crore in Sharpsell.ai, marked its largest Cat-I AIF investment till date with this round. The company has previously received funding in 2022 and 2023 from marquee SaaS investors Cornerstone Venture Partners and Mistry Ventures, amongst others.
Sharpsell.ai's AI-led platform is delivering clear revenue and productivity gains, making it an invaluable tool for sales teams in today's dynamic business landscape. With its latest funding, the company is well-positioned to continue its growth trajectory and contribute to the evolution of sales enablement in India and beyond.
