Battlefield 6's open beta has kicked off, offering players a taste of four multiplayer game modes: Conquest, Breakthrough, King of the Hill, and Domination. But that's just the beginning, as the full game launch in October 2025 promises a total of eight multiplayer game modes.

The upcoming modes include fan-favourites like Rush and Squad Deathmatch, as well as new additions such as King of the Hill and Escalation. Rush is a mode where teams are divided into Attackers (who plant explosives) and Defenders (who must defuse bombs and reduce opposing Tickets to zero). Squad Deathmatch features four squads facing off in fast-paced deathmatch combat where kills determine the winner. King of the Hill is a control point mode, while Escalation is a strategic mode where teams fight to capture and maintain key map points, adding tactical variation.

Some modes will also have variants, such as Closed Weapon versions, which restrict players to class-specific weapons, and easier "101" versions to help new players adapt.

Battlefield 6 offers two types of game modes: All Out Warfare and smaller game modes designed for more traditional multiplayer experiences. The All Out Warfare game modes can hold up to 64 players and use the entirety of the Battlefield 6 maps.

While Team Deathmatch and Escalation are not currently playable in the beta, more game modes will be added to the beta in the following days. So, get ready to experience the full spectrum of Battlefield 6's multiplayer offerings when the game launches in October 2025.
