Allstate Names Mario Rizzo COO, Jess Merten PL President in Leadership Shakeup

Allstate has announced significant leadership changes as part of its Transformative Growth initiative. Mario Rizzo, previously President of Property-Liability, has been named Chief Operating Officer. Jess Merten, former Chief Financial Officer at Allstate, will now serve as President of Property-Liability, reporting to Rizzo. John Dugenske, currently President, Investments and Corporate Strategy, will temporarily take on the role of Interim Chief Financial Officer.

Rizzo brings extensive experience to his new role, having held multiple senior positions at Allstate over his 33-year career, including Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Merten, who previously served as Chief Financial Officer at Allstate, will now oversee Property-Liability operations. Before joining Allstate, Dugenske worked at General Mills.

The leadership changes aim to drive Allstate's Transformative Growth initiative, which focuses on increasing Property-Liability market share and expanding customer protection. This plan also involves leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance customer service and create new opportunities for employees.

Allstate's new leadership team, led by Mario Rizzo and Jess Merten, will work together to drive the company's growth and innovation. John Dugenske will temporarily fill the role of Interim Chief Financial Officer while an external search for a permanent replacement is conducted.
