American Airlines Ups Its Game in Premium Travel

American Airlines is stepping up its premium travel offerings, with enhancements to its onboard service and partnerships. The airline aims to challenge industry leaders like Delta and United, who already provide top-notch Champagne experiences in their business class cabins.

American Airlines has appointed Robert Isom, its CEO, to lead the improvements in its premium reputation. The airline has partnered with Bollinger to offer Bollinger Special Cuvée Champagne in Flagship First and Business Class on international flights to Paris starting next month. This exclusive service will expand across American's international Flagship network in the coming months, following its initial introduction in Flagship lounges in Dallas Fort Worth, Miami, Chicago O'Hare, and soon in Philadelphia and Los Angeles.

In a strategic move, American Airlines has also decided to bring back free in-flight Wi-Fi next year, along with pajamas and mattress pads for Flagship Business Class passengers on long-haul flights. This follows a brief replacement of Champagne with Ferrari Brut Trento DOC in its international Flagship Business Class cabin in 2023.

American Airlines' commitment to enhancing its premium offerings is evident. With the Bollinger partnership, improved in-flight amenities, and a focus on connectivity, the airline is positioning itself to rival Delta and United in the competitive business class market.
