AEG and American Express Expand Partnership in Live Entertainment
In a significant move, AEG and American Express have extended their 20-year partnership, encompassing five key verticals — venues, festivals, touring, ticketing, and sports — across more than 40 marquee assets on four continents. This expanded deal represents AEG’s largest annual sponsorship both in revenue and assets.
The expanded partnership offers several key benefits to American Express cardholders.
American Express Venue Collection
Eligible cardmembers will gain access to ticket sales, dedicated entrances, concessions offers, and signature branded lounges at venues such as Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, The O2 in London, Uber Arena in Berlin, and Dignity Health Sports Park in California. American Express remains a Founding Partner at these venues, holding a premium, category-exclusive status.
Integration with AXS Ticketing Platform
The partnership also sees American Express integrated into AEG’s global ticketing platform, AXS. This integration aims to enhance fan access, personalization, and digital engagement features.
Sports Teams Sponsorship
American Express continues to sponsor sports teams including the LA Kings (NHL) and LA Galaxy (MLS).
Premier European Festival Sponsorship
American Express remains the Presenting Partner of AEG Presents’ premier European festival, American Express Presents BST Hyde Park, which recently took place in London from June 27 to July 13. Festival perks for Amex members include merchandise and on-site experiences.
Global Reach
The expanded partnership reaches fans at various AEG properties and events worldwide. American Express is investing in venues like The Bowery Presents in New York and Boston, and AEG Presents and Goldenvoice festivals like Coachella, Stagecoach, BST Hyde Park, All Points East, and more. The partnership also expands into key international markets including the US, UK, Japan, Australia, and Canada.
Todd Goldstein, chief revenue officer of AEG, highlighted that the partnership delivers a connected, fan-first ecosystem that delivers meaningful value in new and differentiated ways.
