Apple Unveils Major OS Updates at WWDC20
Apple has unveiled new features for its operating systems at WWDC20. tvOS 14 now supports HomeKit-enabled video cameras and accessories, and offers multi-user capabilities for Apple Arcade. The updates come alongside macOS Big Sur, iOS 14, iPadOS 14, and watchOS 7.
iPadOS 14 introduces Scribble with Apple Pencil, allowing users to write in any text field. It also enhances search functionality, making it easier to find apps and information. iOS 14 brings the App Library, which automatically organizes apps into categories, and App Clips, which provide quick access to parts of apps without installation. Users can now pin conversations in Messages and find cycling directions in Maps.
watchOS 7 includes health-focused features like handwashing detection and sleep tracking. Users can also share watch faces with others. macOS Big Sur updates Safari with improved performance and privacy, and Mac Catalyst, which brings iPad apps to the Mac.
