Aral Expands Food Offerings, Partners with Rewe To GoShop for 1,000 Stations by 2021
Aral, the German fuel and convenience store company, is expanding its product offerings to cater more to mobile customers. The new range includes hot food, sandwiches, sushi, salads, desserts, and more. This move is part of Aral's strategy to boost its shop business, which already generates about 60% of its revenue. The first Aral station to feature this expanded range, located at Eickener Straße 357 in Neuss, will reopen on Thursday, July 19.
Aral serves over 85,000 drivers daily with fresh coffee and specialties. To enhance this experience, Aral has partnered with Rewe To GoShop, installing one at the Eickener Straße station. This is the first of many such collaborations, with Aral planning to introduce this sales format at up to 1,000 of its own stations in Germany by 2021. The rollout began in Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, and North Rhine-Westphalia, with up to 85 more stations, including Claudia Wingerath's, set to follow by the end of the year.
Aral's investment in the structural conversion of stations over the next five years aims to improve shop offerings. The new Aral station at Eickener Straße 357 will have access and exit directly from the street, making it more convenient for customers.
