Renault 4 E-Tech Van: A New Electric Option for Professionals
The Renault 4 E-Tech Van, a revival of the classic Renault 4 in van form, is now available in Spain and has been homologated in the N1 category for commercial and goods transport purposes. This new electric vehicle is packed with functional features and comes with one trim level, offering a range of options for professionals.
Under the hood, the van version comes with two engine options: a 120 CV engine paired with a 40 kWh lithium-ion battery, and a 150 CV engine paired with a 52 kWh lithium-ion battery. The higher range model, equipped with the 52 kWh battery, costs €26,284, while the 40 kWh model is priced at €23,954. These prices do not include taxes or possible discounts.
The cargo length of the Renault 4 E-Tech Van is 1,200 mm, and it boasts a cargo space of 940 dm³ according to the VDA standard, equivalent to 1,045 liters of capacity. To accommodate cargo efficiently, the van does away with rear seats and seat belts, and adds a reinforced plastic floor with a load retention panel and tie-down hooks.
Charging the 40 kWh battery takes 2 hours and 37 minutes with the standard 11 kW alternating current charger, while the 52 kWh battery can be charged with a 100 kW direct current charger in just 30 minutes. This quick charging time makes the Renault 4 E-Tech Van a convenient choice for professionals on the go.
The Renault 4 E-Tech Van comes equipped with a range of standard features, including 18-inch wheels, electrically adjustable mirrors, an adjustable driver's seat, automatic climate control, integrated connectivity and services, an Arkamys sound system with 4 speakers, and equipment similar to the passenger version.
Manufactured by Renault, the van conversion is performed by Renault's Qstomize division at the Mobiège plant, where the passenger version is also produced. Unfortunately, due to its classification as a van, the Renault 4 E-Tech Van cannot be homologated as a passenger vehicle.
