Avery Dennison Expands Use of Wiliot's IoT Sensors for Smarter Supply Chains
Avery Dennison, a global leader in labeling and materials science, is expanding its use of Wiliot's ambient IoT technology for smart supply chain sensors. The announcement was made on September 22, 2025.
Wiliot's IoT sensors, which operate without batteries or manual scans and communicate via standard Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) infrastructure, will be manufactured by Avery Dennison. The next-generation sensors feature a smaller chip footprint and simplified inlay architecture, reducing cost and improving performance.
Francisco Melo, president of Avery Dennison's Solutions Group, believes this expansion unlocks new applications and makes existing deployments more scalable and economically viable. Avery Dennison is integrating Wiliot's solutions into its Intelligent Labels portfolio and connected product cloud atma.io, leveraging its global entry, commercial reach, R&D capabilities, and process technology expertise to drive adoption across industries.
Wiliot's platform is already used by global leaders to reduce waste, improve freshness, automate inventory, and enhance supply chain responsiveness. This partnership builds on Avery Dennison's previous announcement of employing Impinj M800 series chips to realize the full potential of Gen2X and deliver impactful solutions.
Avery Dennison and Wiliot are expanding their strategic partnership to scale Wiliot's ambient IoT technologies worldwide. This collaboration aims to bring the benefits of continuous, low-cost visibility to more industries, transforming traditionally unconnected assets into intelligent, connected products.
