AVEVA & AWS Team Up to Simplify Industrial Data Management

AVEVA, a leading global industrial software provider, is teaming up with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to simplify and scale operational data management for industrial organisations. The collaboration integrates Amazon RDS with AVEVA's PI Data Infrastructure offering.

This integration allows industrial companies to run the PI Asset Framework's SQL backend on AWS's cloud-managed database services. This reduces deployment times and maintenance costs, making operational data management more efficient.

Howard Gefen, General Manager for the Energy and Utilities Industry at AWS, sees the potential in cloud solutions that transform operations and deliver value, not just migrate data. He believes industrial companies can benefit greatly from such innovations.

Rob McGreevey, AVEVA's Chief Product Officer, views this collaboration as a significant step towards delivering flexible, hybrid-ready solutions for industrial data management. The integration combines the full scale of AWS's secure, cloud-managed database capabilities with AVEVA's expert industrial operations data management.

Through this collaboration, AVEVA and AWS aim to help industrial companies reduce their IT burden and accelerate cloud adoption. By integrating Amazon RDS with AVEVA's PI Data Infrastructure, they enable organisations to simplify and scale operational data management, ultimately improving overall efficiency and operations.
