BMW USA Reports Mixed Q3 2025 Sales: XM Struggles, 5 Series Soars

BMW USA has reported mixed sales figures for the third quarter of 2025. While some models showed impressive growth, others lagged behind. Notably, the BMW XM was the worst-selling product, excluding certain models.

The BMW 5 Series and 7 Series experienced significant growth in Q3 2025. The 5 Series saw a remarkable 202.2% increase to 7,578 units, while the 7 Series rose by 59.5% to 2,824 cars, also up 23.5% year-over-year. The BMW X2 also had excellent growth, with shipments jumping 163.9% to 1,863 cars. Meanwhile, the BMW X3 sales increased by 37% to 20,980 units in Q3 2025, with year-to-date numbers nearly flat.

BMW USA's total shipments in Q3 2025 increased by 24% to 96,886 units. Interestingly, the BMW X2 outsold the X4 in Q3 2025 and is nearly evenly matched year-to-date, despite the lack of official 2025 sales figures for the X2.

In summary, while the BMW XM struggled, the 5 Series, 7 Series, X2, and X3 models showed strong sales growth in Q3 2025. BMW USA's total shipments also increased, reflecting a mixed but generally positive sales performance.
