CDW Expands Digital Health Services through Acquisition of Enquizit

In a strategic move designed to enhance its offerings for healthcare organizations, CDW, a leading multibrand IT provider to both the public and private sectors, has announced the acquisition of Enquizit, an Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud solutions provider.

Enquizit, renowned for its expertise in cloud-native application development and management, brings advanced capabilities in migrating healthcare workloads to the cloud. This acquisition significantly boosts CDW’s capabilities in serving healthcare organizations, particularly in accelerating cloud migration and ensuring strict healthcare compliance.

The integration of Enquizit’s solutions with CDW’s comprehensive IT offerings means healthcare providers can expect faster, smoother, and more efficient cloud transition processes. This reduces downtime and operational risks during migration, allowing healthcare organizations to modernize their infrastructure rapidly and leverage cloud benefits such as scalability, flexibility, and cost efficiency.

Healthcare organizations must comply with stringent regulations like HIPAA, HITECH, and other regional standards related to patient data privacy and security. Enquizit’s experience with compliance frameworks and secure cloud architectures strengthens CDW’s portfolio in delivering compliant healthcare cloud services. Together, they can implement secure environments with proper data governance, auditing, encryption, and access controls tailored specifically for healthcare needs.

Enquizit's focus on the public sector, including government agencies, higher education institutions, payer, provider, and life sciences domains, aligns well with CDW's existing client base. The acquisition adds experience in designing, developing, and managing mission-critical applications to CDW's offerings.

One of Enquizit's flagship products, SkyMap, an AI-powered cloud migration accelerator, uses AWS AI and machine learning to determine an organization’s optimal path for securely migrating data to the cloud quickly and affordably. This tool will further augment CDW's Digital Velocity Services (DVS) team, which helps organizations automate their digital infrastructure, implement DevSecOps, and migrate it to the cloud.

TC Ratnapuri, founder and chairman of Enquizit, stated that the decision to join CDW was made after a thorough analysis. Andy Eccles, senior vice president of integrated technology solutions at CDW, stated that Enquizit complements CDW's existing Digital Velocity practice.

The acquisition is intended to help scale CDW's delivery of services, especially in the healthcare sector, where Enquizit's rapid growth in the last few years, due to a series of government contract wins, presents a promising opportunity. Enquizit was awarded a nearly $4 million contract with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in July 2022, involving the modernization of the CDC's National Electronic Disease Surveillance System Base System.

By accelerating cloud adoption with compliance confidence, healthcare organizations are better positioned to deploy advanced technologies such as AI and machine learning for diagnostics and patient management. The agility gained through cloud transformation also supports faster updates and integrations critical for evolving healthcare systems, ultimately improving operational efficiency and patient outcomes.

This acquisition empowers CDW to offer healthcare clients accelerated cloud migrations combined with strong compliance assurance, enabling safer, faster, and more efficient digital transformations in healthcare environments.

Incorporating Enquizit's cloud solutions, CDW will leverage advanced technology to catapult the healthcare sector forward, bolstering their offerings with data-and-cloud-computing expertise that enhances health-and-wellness organizations' digital transformations. Furthermore, combining Enquizit's compliant cloud services with the robust capabilities of CDW's full IT suite, healthcare providers can swiftly and securely adopt innovative technologies like AI and machine learning, thereby improving patient outcomes while adhering to stringent health regulations such as HIPAA.
