Celonis Teams Up with Volkswagen to Streamline Production Using Digital Twins
Celonis, a leading process mining software company, is teaming up with Volkswagen (VW) to streamline production using digital twins and the VW Industrial Cloud. Meanwhile, industry experts from Celonis and VW are set to discuss process-led supply chain transformations at upcoming events.
VW is accelerating digitalisation to enhance data quality and leverage insights through AI applications. The collaboration with Celonis aims to identify production bottlenecks and optimise workflows in real-time. This follows BMW's successful use of Celonis since 2016, automating over 1,100 processes and creating over 450 data models for performance improvement.
VW is also working with tech giants like Mobileye, Rivian, Bosch, and Qualcomm to enhance production processes through data analysis and AI, particularly in autonomous driving technologies. Similarly, Gestamp is revolutionising automotive supply chain management with advanced Industry 4.0 strategies. JLR is building a new digital landscape based on data from the ground up, further emphasising the importance of data-driven optimisation.
Process mining, as demonstrated by these collaborations, plays a crucial role in improving the efficiency and resilience of the automotive supply chain, especially during the transition to electric vehicles and managing daily disruptions. Gartner recognised Celonis as the leader in process mining in its 2023 Magic Quadrant, reflecting the company's impact on the industry.
With Celonis and VW's collaboration, process-led optimisation is set to transform production and supply chain management. Upcoming events, such as the Automotive Logistics and Supply Chain Digital Strategies North America conference in Nashville and the Automotive Logistics Livestream event, will delve into these advancements, showcasing the potential of process mining in shaping the future of the automotive industry.
