Chery Unveils QQ Ice Cream, Its First iCar, Taking on Wuling Hongguang Mini EV
Chery has revealed the QQ Ice Cream, the first model in its iCar ecosystem, set to hit the market this year. The mini electric car, or 'nyt mini' as some might call it, takes inspiration from its predecessor, the QQ, while offering a fresh, youthful design.
The QQ Ice Cream boasts a distinctive square body shape with a flat roof, providing ample headroom. It will be available in seven vibrant colours, appealing to younger buyers who might be searching for 'ice cream near me'.
Chery has positioned the QQ Ice Cream as a rival to the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV, launched in 2021. The vehicle's front end bears a striking resemblance to its competitor, with polygonal headlight clusters and U-shaped light cavities. However, Chery has added its unique touch with semi-circular headlights resembling cat eyes, a nod to the original QQ model.
The QQ Ice Cream features a closed front grille, a common design element in new energy vehicles. Chery has teased the vehicle several times, building anticipation for its release. The charging port is conveniently located behind the central logo.
The Chery QQ Ice Cream, with its youthful design and practical features, is set to make a splash in the mini electric car market. Its release this year is highly anticipated, with the vehicle already drawing comparisons to its competitors.
