Chiliz Group forges alliance with Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) via Socios platform

Ninjas in Pyjamas, known as NIP in the esports sphere, is taking a leap in its Web3 adventure with a fresh partner onboard. This globally recognized esports brand has formed an alliance with Chiliz Group through Socios.com, aiming to kick up the excitement for its fan engagement platform, The Dojo. Although the fine details are still a secret, it's all about amping up the fan-brand interaction.

By teaming up with Socios.com, NIP is gunning for a scale-up of its Dojo project and a broader reach for its esports community, keeping pace with the speedy transformations in the gaming industry.

Fun fact:- NIP introduced the Dojo in 2024 to leverage blockchain technology for boosting fan connections.- Socios.com operates on the Chiliz Chain, focusing on minting fan tokens and perks.- Previously, NIP collaborated with Ziliqa on the same fan engagement platform.

The new partnership brings a fresh flavor to NIP's existing Web3 expedition. They signed a five-year pact with Ziliqa in 2021, which later expanded in 2024 to support the Dojo. With Socios.com joining the game now, there are whispers about Ziliqa's present role. NIP and Chiliz have yet to toss a word on whether Ziliqa continues to hang in there.

Socios.com isn't new to the esports scene either. It's already made a splash by partnering with big names like OG Esports, Team Heretics, NAVI, and MIBR. By jumping into this new deal with NIP, Socios.com pockets another star player while NIP gains access to tried-and-tested fan engagement tools on the Chiliz Chain.

This deal with Socios.com is but one part of a wider strategy hatched by the NIP Group, sprung from the union of NIP and Chinese esports brand ESV5. Since the merger, the group has rolled out several moves to widen its business footprint. It now trades on NASDAQ, established a new game publishing unit, and bagged a $40 million investment from the Abu Dhabi Investment Office.

Hicham Chahine, NIP Group's Founder and Co-CEO, shared his thoughts on the shift:

"Our fanbase is growing, and it's becoming increasingly diverse. Partnering with Socios.com lets us bring our dedicated Ninjas together in a thrilling and engaging manner, flexible enough to keep up with the swift advancements in esports."

  1. In the realm of data-and-cloud-computing and technology, the NIP Group aims to amplify fan engagement through the use of artificial-intelligence and blockchain technology, a strategy initiated after the union with ESV5.
  2. As part of its comprehensive approach, the NIP Group has collaborated with Socios.com, which not only specializes in fan tokens and perks but also boasts partnerships with leading esports teams such as OG Esports, Team Heretics, NAVI, MIBR, and now, NIP.
  3. With this new collaboration, the focus shifts towards cybersecurity and ensuring secure and seamless interactions between fans and the NIP brand, while simultaneously expanding the reach of their esports community in alignment with the rapid transformations in the gaming industry.
