Clyde & Co Expands in Europe with Rotterdam Office Opening
Global law firm Clyde & Co has expanded its presence in Europe with the opening of a new office in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. This move follows a merger with local firm Stadermann Luiten Advocaten (SLA), further bolstering the company's regional news offerings.
The new office will be led by a trio of experienced lawyers: Wence Rupert, Peter Knijp, and Frits van der Woude, who will be supported by 14 other staff members from SLA. This expansion is part of Clyde & Co's broader strategy to enhance its global footprint, as evidenced by recent office openings in Doha, Qatar, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Clyde & Co CEO Matthew Kelsall praised Rotterdam's strategic location, stating that it will serve as an ideal base for serving clients in the region. The firm's European presence now comprises nine offices and nearly 200 lawyers across multiple countries. The merger with SLA, which specialises in insurance sector services, will strengthen Clyde & Co's expertise in liability and insurance news. Wence Rupert specialises in liability and insurance news, Peter Knijp in liability, insurance, and personal injury news, while Frits van der Woude focuses on insurance and liability news.
Clyde & Co's new Rotterdam office, following the merger with SLA, signals the firm's commitment to growing its European presence. With a strong leadership team and strategic location, the new office is poised to provide comprehensive legal services to clients in the region, further cementing Clyde & Co's position as a global leader in the legal industry.
