Conor McGregor Warns about Withdrawing BKFC from DAZN, Declaring "We've Reached an End"
Conor McGregor delivered a strong statement to DAZN via social media during their live stream of BKFC: Hollywood. McGregor expressed his frustration that the network, which partners with BKFC for live events, wasn't offering interview opportunities to the winners of the show's fights.
McGregor, being a partial owner of BKFC but possibly not having the power to end the contract with DAZN, voiced his concerns on various DAZN official accounts after first posting about it.
Despite his outburst, McGregor may not have the authority to withdraw BKFC from its contract with DAZN. The promotion is still owned by David Feldman, and if they have a contract with the streaming service, it's unlikely anyone could simply pull the product.
McGregor garnered attention in July when he "let go" of Mike Perry after Perry lost in a boxing match against Jake Paul. However, Perry appeared in the BKFC ring on Saturday night to challenge former UFC champion Robbie Lawler.
Surprisingly, Feldman wasn't asked to comment on McGregor's remarks during the post-event press conference, but McGregor's complaints could still bring negative attention to the broadcast. BKFC is making strides in the combat sports world with a $25 million tournament and a significant acquisition coming soon, which Feldman mentioned would "change combat sports."
The broadcast distribution provided by DAZN is vital for BKFC's progress. While people are generally used to, or even ignore, McGregor's online rants, publicly criticizing a business partner could be risky.
McGregor recognizes the significance of microphone time for combat sports athletes. He's managed to build his renown as much with his mic skills as he has in the Octagon.
McGregor wants to provide the fighters under the BKFC banner with an opportunity to become household names. They need interview time to achieve that objective. Moving forward, the broadcast might be restructured to afford at least some of the winners interview opportunities after a successful bout.

Despite McGregor's concerns, BKFC: Hollywood results were broadcasted live on DAZN, showcasing knockouts, performances, and the Fight of the Night, which was between Christine Ferea and Christine Vicens.
