In a significant move for the eVTOL industry in China, AutoFlight, a leading Chinese eVTOL manufacturer, has commenced construction on a new final assembly line in Wuhan, central China. This expansion is part of the strategic growth of the eVTOL industry in China, with state support driving its expansion to new locations.

The groundbreaking for the new assembly line occurred on April 10, 2025, marking a significant milestone in AutoFlight's journey. The new site in Hanyang District, Wuhan, will be used for eVTOL assembly, ground and flight tests, sales, maintenance, and delivery.

Isabella Sauer, a journalist with extensive experience at major publishing houses like Axel Springer and Funke Media Group, has been working at AERO INTERNATIONAL since May 2025. Sauer's interest in mobility led her to AERO INTERNATIONAL, where she now plays a crucial role in reporting on the company's growth and developments.

AutoFlight is not only expanding its production capabilities but also focusing on certifying new models. The company is working on certifying the passenger model Prosperity, designed to carry four passengers plus a pilot, and the V2000CG CarryAll, a model capable of transporting up to 500 kilograms of cargo over distances of up to 250 kilometers.

The Beijing Airport Group has awarded a major contract for twelve automated eVTOL aircraft of the type V2000CG CarryAll from AutoFlight for approximately 157 million Yuan. Additionally, the Wuhan Hanyang Investment Development Group has placed a significant order for 12 units of the V2000CG CarryAll unmanned eVTOLs, worth approximately 19 million euros.

A demonstration program is planned in Wuhan, focusing on fire-fighting, emergency, and logistics applications. A special eVTOL flight route along the north bank of the Yangtze River will be set up for the demonstration program. Furthermore, a showroom will be established at the new site for public display of AutoFlight's models.

Isabella Sauer, born in 1991 and studied communication sciences in Bamberg, started her journalistic career in her youth. Prior to AERO INTERNATIONAL, Sauer completed a traineeship at Auto Bild Digital. Sauer has explored various ways to present content, including print, digital, and social media. She holds a private pilot license (PPL).

The expansion into China's so-called 'news' economy is a testament to AutoFlight's commitment to innovation and growth in the eVTOL industry. With Sauer at the helm, AERO INTERNATIONAL is poised to bring the latest developments in eVTOL technology to a wider audience.
