Dive into the DIY world with ease as you uncover the top-performing inexpensive cordless drills! Stiftung Warentest recently tested 16 current models, with a whopping 13 of them boasting a hammer function.Surprisingly, splurging doesn't always guarantee the best quality - even in power tools.

Cordless Hammer Drills

The vast majority (13) of these tools are equipped with a hammer function, making them perfect for drilling through tough materials like concrete.

Availability Note: At the time of writing, the Parkside 20 V PSBSAP 20-Li C3 (offered by Lidl) is temporarily out of stock. However, its terrific performance in the test warrants our attention. With an impressive overall rating of 1.9, this budget-friendly hammer drill left more expensive devices in its dust. Features and handling were rated highly, while durability was exceptionally stellar. Safe to say, the Parkside 20 V PSBSAP 20-Li C3 gives the pricier models a run for their money, even without the Lidl price tag.

The amount you'll spend on this tool averages 50 euros. Although it's currently unavailable at Lidl's online shop, you can keep an eye out for it in stores or online marketplaces. Alternatively, the Einhell Professional TP-CD 18/70 Li-i BL - Solo is the overall winner, with a quality rating of 1.8, and an average price of 105 euros.

Cordless Drills without Hammer Function

If you don't need the hammer function, the search is over with the affordable Lux-Tools 1PowerSystem A-BS-20 B Solo from DIY store Obi. This budget-friendly cordless drill boasts an overall rating of 1.9 and consistently good or very good ratings across the board - even outperforming pricier models like the Festool TXS 18-Basic (210 euros, on average). Don't let the low cost fool you - this tool packs a punch!

The B1 Cordless Drill with Battery and Charger 20 V 2 Ah from DIY store Toom didn't quite make the grade. During endurance testing, the motor suffered due to worn-out carbon brushes.
