Trend Micro, a global leader in cybersecurity based in Japan, has introduced a new agent-based AI technology for Security Information and Event Management (SIEM). The innovative solution, named Agentic SIEM, is designed to revolutionize the SIEM landscape, addressing traditional challenges such as cost, complexity, alert overload, and static data handling.
Key Features of Agentic SIEM
The new platform supports over 900 data sources, improving transparency, context, and threat detection. It offers extensive data retention, with up to seven years for archival storage and two years for analytic use, aiding advanced detection, threat hunting, and compliance. Rapid onboarding of new log types is currently three days, with a goal of reducing this to three hours by 2026, minimizing risks from unknown data.
Agentic SIEM integrates with Trend Micro’s XDR capabilities, including native security sensors across endpoints, cloud, email, networks, servers, and identity, as well as third-party telemetry. This integration provides a holistic security view.
AI-driven autonomous operations reduce alert noise and manual configuration efforts. Enhanced threat detection and response are achieved through automated anomaly detection and rapid mitigation, improving security teams' efficiency and reducing breaches. The solution also offers strong compliance support with powerful search and long-term retention, making audits easier and regulatory requirements easier to meet. Automated incident investigation with advanced data correlation speeds up investigations and improves accuracy.

The impact of Agentic SIEM on proactive cybersecurity is amplified when combined with Trend Micro’s digital twin technology. This integration enables proactive risk mitigation by simulating and visualizing security threats before they affect real systems.
