Dacia has unveiled the Hipster, a new electric two-box vehicle inspired by the Suzuki Jimny and Land Rover Defender. This L7 vehicle is designed to be significantly cheaper than the successor of the current Dacia Spring, starting at €16,900.

The Hipster is a compact yet robust electric car, with a maximum unladen weight of 450 kg without the battery. Despite its size, it packs a punch with a top speed of 90 km/h and a maximum power output of 15 kW/20 PS. This makes it an ideal choice for urban use, where affordability and maneuverability are key.

The Hipster's L7 classification means it adheres to European registration regulations for performance and weight, but has fewer crash and equipment requirements. This allows Dacia to keep the price point competitive, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious buyers.
