Dacia Unveils Hipster Concept: Affordable Electric Mini Car for Rural Regions

Dacia has revealed the Hipster Concept, a compact electric mini car designed for practical, affordable e-mobility, particularly in rural regions. The Hipster, under three metres long, can accommodate four adults and offers a range of around 120 km on a single charge.

The Hipster Concept boasts a top speed of approximately 90 km/h and may be available as a moped car with a 45 km/h restriction. It features eleven mounting points for individual accessories, allowing owners to customize their vehicle. Dacia has not yet disclosed the drive power, but it is expected to meet the needs of users relying on short distances.

The Hipster aims to boost e-mobility and could meet the demand for affordable electric vehicles in rural areas. It focuses on pragmatism, using a smartphone as the digital vehicle key and display instead of expensive infotainment systems. A market launch is conceivable by 2030 at the earliest.
