I managed to complete today's NYT Mini in just 2:47.
Jeez, today's solve was slow for me! There were a few answers that could have gone either way. STY could have been PEN while I initially thought ODORS was SMELL or STINK.
There was no reasonable excuse for making an obvious mistake with 4 Across for a prolonged time, though. I thought it was FABLE, which didn't make any sense. It wasn't until I finally got MOP that I realized where I went wrong. And I had no clue about SO DO I. That didn't really fit the clue.
A disappointing day at the NYT Mini crossword for me, but tomorrow presents a new opportunity!
