Daily New York Times 'Strands' Feature: Subtle Clues, Spangram, and Solutions for December 23rd, Monday

Searching for Sunday's Strands suggestions, anagrams, and solutions? Look no further:

Christmas shopping is almost over, with only a few days left before the festive season arrives in full swing. It's Christmas Eve Eve, and very soon, Santa will be delivering his reward-laden sleigh. It seems the New York Times is getting into the holiday spirit, as it's the second day in a row with a puzzle that has a Christmas theme. I guess that's a hint, even if I think it's pretty obvious from the theme itself.

Strands is the latest addition to the New York Times' collection of puzzle games. It's an entertaining take on traditional word search games. Each day, we're presented with a new theme, and the challenge is to uncover all the words on the grid that fit the theme. There's even a spangram that spans across two sides of the board, one of which is today's spangram word.

Warning: Spoilers ahead.

Today’s Strands Analysis

In most cases, the spangram is not found at the top, but today, it was an exception. I happened upon HOLIDAY quickly, but it took me a while to identify the full word. The tricky aspect of today's Strands was that most of the words were quite lengthy, making the search a little more challenging. I managed to find BREAD first, then CRANBERRY and PEPPERMINT, which made the remainder of the task a bit easier. There were only five words in total, making the task slightly simpler.
