Daily Puzzle Solutions: NYT Mini Crossword Challenges for December 19th

In need of identifying a typical Christmas cookie cutter shape or perhaps the Forrest Gump character who refers to shrimp as "the sea's fruit"? Look no further, for I am on hand to provide the answers to today's NYT Mini crossword puzzle challenges.

The NYT Mini crossword is available for free on the New York Times website or the NYT Games app. Nevertheless, you will need a NYT Games subscription to access the archives' earlier puzzles.
To help you navigate the grid without getting stuck and revealing missing letters, here are the solutions to this Thursday, December 19's NYT Mini Crossword (beware, spoilers ensue):

It took me 0:45 minutes to finish today's NYT Mini.
Naturally, I encountered issues with the Christmas cookie cutter shapes. Initially, TREE crossed my mind, but it couldn't be correct when I moved on to the Down clues. STAR, however, eventually presented itself. I was uncertain about 7 Across at the start, but I eventually recognized it as BUBBA. Intriguingly, I was unfamiliar with BABAS, but the rest of the grid was smooth sailing.
