Culinary Misfits, a popular bar and restaurant in Crown Point, Indiana, recently celebrated its first anniversary. As part of the establishment's ongoing commitment to innovation, the venue has upgraded its audio-visual (AV) setup with the Crimson AV VW4600G3 Video Wall Mount.
The VW4600G3 mount, renowned for its universal compatibility, robust build, and adjustability, has played a significant role in the transformation of Culinary Misfits' AV systems. The mount supports a wide range of video wall displays, including different brands and sizes, and manages VESA mounting patterns commonly used in professional AV displays.
The main dining area now boasts a 3-by-3 video wall using LG commercial panels with the VW4600G3 mount, while the upstairs lounge features a 2-by-6 video wall of LG commercial panels. The mounts' slim profile keeps the video walls close to the wall, optimizing space usage in these areas without compromising on aesthetics.
Individual LG TV displays in areas accommodating children were mounted using Crimson ceiling mounts for safety and a clean look. The mounts' adjustability allowed for precise alignment, ensuring a seamless, edge-to-edge video wall setup with consistent bezels.
The AVPro Edge's MXNet video over IP was chosen for video distribution in Culinary Misfits, enhancing the flexibility and scalability of the system. This cutting-edge technology allows for easy management of the AV setup in the main dining area and the upstairs lounge, with an intuitive interface for staff and guests.
RTI systems were selected for seamless management of the AV setup, providing an easy-to-use solution for controlling the video walls, lighting, and sound systems. The systems' advanced control capabilities contributed to the unique atmosphere of Culinary Misfits, making it a memorable destination for patrons.
Dave Mackiney, an integrator with GKD Technologies, and Andy Spolar from AWA Reps collaborated on the design and implementation of the AV systems at Culinary Misfits. The project's success was showcased during the one-year anniversary celebration, demonstrating the synergy of innovative AV solutions and meticulous planning.
The VW4600G3 mount's multiple superior features, including push-in, pop-out technology, six points of adjustment, depth adjustment, pull-out extension, and integrated dual-keyed lock system, have proven to be valuable assets in the AV setup at Culinary Misfits. The unconventional use of the video walls in the upstairs lounge, displaying three full-size images across four displays, further highlights the mount's versatility and adaptability.
