Riyadh Air and Unilode Aviation Solutions Partner for Sustainable Growth

Riyadh Air, the upcoming Saudi Arabian airline, has signed a long-term agreement with Unilode Aviation Solutions, a global industry leader in ULD management and innovative solutions. This partnership is a significant step in Riyadh Air's growth strategy ahead of its planned 2025 launch.

Under the agreement, Riyadh Air will integrate Bluetooth-enabled tracking across its ULD fleet, supported by Unilode's reader infrastructure. This cutting-edge technology is expected to boost operational efficiency and sustainability, aligning with Riyadh Air's commitment to smarter and more sustainable aviation practices.

Unilode's innovative ULD solutions, global network, and digital platform will provide Riyadh Air with the agility and resilience needed for its growth. The deal also includes comprehensive ULD management and support services.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has partnered with Riyadh Air to provide support in reducing environmental pollution impacts through ULD management. This collaboration underscores Riyadh Air's positioning as a catalyst for smarter and more sustainable aviation practices through advanced digitalization of its cargo and passenger operations.

Ross Marino, CEO of Unilode Aviation Solutions, highlighted Unilode's ability to deliver value for the long term and support Riyadh Air's transformation into a forward-looking airline. Adam Boukadida, the chief financial officer of Riyadh Air, emphasized the focus on creating effortless, personalized, and responsible journeys with the partnership with Unilode.

Riyadh Air's operations are expected to contribute $20 billion to Saudi Arabia's non-oil GDP by 2030. The airline also anticipates operating more than 180 aircraft and serving over 100 destinations by 2030. This growth is projected to create more than 200,000 jobs worldwide by 2030.

The partnership between Riyadh Air and Unilode Aviation Solutions marks a significant milestone in the development of Riyadh Air, setting the stage for a sustainable and efficient airline that prioritizes both the environment and the passenger experience.
