The much-anticipated Isuzu D-Max EV is set to hit the roads starting from February 2026, bringing a new era of electric pickups to the market. Here's what you need to know about this exciting new vehicle.

Orders for the Isuzu D-Max EV will open at the end of this year, and deliveries are scheduled to begin in February 2026. The D-Max EV boasts a powerful 66.9kWh lithium-ion NMC battery, which powers dual electric motors, generating a combined 188bhp and 240lb ft of torque.

The D-Max EV retains the impressive off-road ability that Isuzu pickups are known for, with a wading depth of 600mm and a clearance of 210mm. It also offers a towing capacity of up to 3.5-tonnes and a payload capacity of up to 1.0-tonne.

When it comes to charging, the D-Max EV offers rapid charging speeds that peak at 50kW. This means that from 20% or 10% up to 80%, the battery can be charged in about one hour. A 10-80% top-up takes approximately 60 minutes. For those who prefer to charge at home, the D-Max EV also supports AC charging at 11 kW, which takes about 10 hours for a full 0-100% charge.

The entry-level D-Max eDL40 model features a range of amenities, including a digital driver display, dual-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors, an 8-inch infotainment screen, LED headlights, and heated front seats. Stepping up to the eV-Cross spec will cost an additional £2,000 and includes features such as a 9-inch infotainment screen, an eight-speaker sound system, leather upholstery, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, and Rough Terrain Mode.

The Isuzu D-Max EV comes with a 125,000 mile, five-year warranty, just like all Isuzu models. With a WLTP range of 163 miles, the D-Max EV offers an impressive balance between battery size and range.

So, whether you're looking for a reliable workhorse or a capable off-roader, the Isuzu D-Max EV is sure to deliver. With its rapid charging speeds, impressive off-road capabilities, and range of amenities, it's set to be a game-changer in the electric pickup market.
