Elijah Wood Unveils Plans for SpectreVision's Radio Podcast Series
Here Comes SpectreVision Radio!
Hold onto your headphones, folks, because the wickedly wonderful production company, SpectreVision, is expanding into the audio realm with their very own podcast network!
According to the Hollywood Reporter, SpectreVision Radio is here, packed with a plethora of podcasts that range from cinematic tales to historical anecdotes, paranormal encounters, occult narratives, music, and much more — all featuring top-notch experts and commentators in their respective fields[1][2].
Starring on this Audio Playground are the filmmakers, Mike Flanagan (The Fall of the House of Usher) and David Lowery (The Green Knight), premiering their first podcasts on the network. We're hoping for spine-chilling horror narratives from these storytellers, but we'd also be thrilled to hear their film nerd knowledge and insights from their impressive careers[2].
If you're craving more paranormal content, fear not! You'll find it in the form of Sapphire Sandalo, a renowned voice in global horror folklore. Known for her work on Discovery's Ghost Town Terror and her popular podcasts, Sapphire's multicultural occult tales and experiences with the paranormal will expand on Stories With Sapphire. Researchers Greg and Dana Newkirk will also premiere their show for more haunting and ghost-encounter vibes[2].
For cinephiles, the network will feature The Spiel from Eric Vespe and Scott Wampler, noted film journalists who shared their passion and knowledge before Wampler's much-missed passing[2].
"The concept of a podcast network that mirrors a community radio station is the natural extension of who we are," said co-founder Elijah Wood in a statement to THR. "We've always looked at SpectreVision as a creative factory filled with like-minded people with shared interests. To have a space where creators can mingle, share ideas, and collaborate freely is a dream come true."[2]
So, Wood's own podcast with Noah, Visitations, will return as part of the curated slate, along with odd-tales documentary podcast Euphomet, which is directed by Jim Perry, who will manage the network[2].
Stay tuned for more exciting podcasts coming to SpectreVision Radio soon!
