In a recent special evaluation by GfK Entertainment, the top-selling PC game in Europe for the first six months of 2025 is Farming Simulator 25, but it's EA Sports FC 25 that takes the crown as the best-selling game on the PS4. The ranking, which includes sales data from Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Finland, France, the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Slovakia, Spain, the Czech Republic, and Hungary, reveals a fascinating picture of Europe's gaming preferences.
EA Sports FC 25 dominated the charts, topping the sales in twelve of the seventeen countries surveyed. It was particularly popular in Italy, the UK, Switzerland, and Spain. The football simulation from Electronic Arts also claimed the title of Europe's third most popular game, beaten only by Minecraft, which saw a boost due to the release of "A Minecraft Movie".
Assassin's Creed Shadows secured the silver medal in the half-year ranking, with a strong showing in France, Belgium, and Finland. Interestingly, in Germany, Super Mario Party Jamboree took the lead on the Nintendo Switch, while Assassin's Creed Shadows was the number one game on both the PS5 and Xbox Series.
The Nintendo Switch hit list in Germany also saw Super Mario Party Jamboree as the top-selling video game, but no new information about its performance in other countries was provided.
