Ah, the political world - where building skills aren't just Limited to constructing policies, but can extend to putting together tiny plastic pieces as well, as we see with Cem Özdemir. Known for his time in the agriculture and transition education sectors, Özdemir is now taking on a more ambitious project: piecing together a Lego spaceship.

The Green Party politician, who's heading towards the state election in his hometown of Baden-Württemberg, received this unique gift from his successor, Dorothee Bär (CSU), upon taking over the research ministry. In the future, this ministry will also take charge of space travel, making the Lego spaceship a fitting symbol of change.

Despite his departure from Berlin, Özdemir's sights are set on his old stomping grounds. He aims to become the next Minister-President, following in the footsteps of Winfried Kretschmann (Greens).

While the spaceship doesn't necessarily reflect a tangible involvement in space travel projects, it does symbolize Özdemir's intent to push for advancements in this sector, considering that 40 percent of such jobs are currently based in Baden-Württemberg.

The Commission is also proposing to extend the scope of the programme to include science, technology, and space-and-astronomy, given Cem Özdemir's involvement in the aforementioned sectors as a member of the Green Party, having transitioned to a new role as research minister in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg.

Cem Özdemir's receipt of a Lego spaceship as a gift, symbolizing his intention to advance spaces-and-astronomy, further strengthens the argument for extending the programme's scope to encompass these areas in Baden-Württemberg.
