Extron Unveils Innovative AV Solutions for Enhanced Network Resiliency
Extron, a leading provider of AV control and signal distribution solutions, has recently unveiled two innovative products and an enhanced codec. The new offerings aim to improve network resiliency, enhance AV recording and streaming capabilities, and expand signal transmission distances.
Extron introduced the SMP 401, a multi-channel 4K recording and streaming media processor. This versatile device captures, switches, scales, and distributes AV sources and presentations, supporting up to five recordings and six streams concurrently. It boasts three HDMI 2.0 inputs and an optional 12G-SDI input, ensuring high-quality AV transmission. The SMP 401 is Extron's latest addition to its AV over IP series, joining the enhanced NAV Pro AV over IP Series featuring the NAV PURE3 codec.
The NAV PURE3 codec offers improved network resiliency, tolerating bursty network traffic on converged networks. This enhancement ensures stable and reliable AV transmission even in challenging network conditions. Extron's NAV System, known for its flexible and upgradable architecture, benefits from this upgrade, with new features available in NAV firmware updates at no additional charge.
Extron also released the DTP3 T 202 EU/MK, a two-input wallplate transmitter. This device sends USB-C video, HDMI, audio, and control signals up to 330 feet (100 meters) over a shielded CAT 6A cable. It supports 4K/60 4:4:4 signals and is HDCP 2.3 compliant, maximizing image quality without compression.
Extron's latest innovations, the SMP 401 and DTP3 T 202 EU/MK, along with the enhanced NAV PURE3 codec, demonstrate the company's commitment to advancing AV technology.
