Fire protection solutions expand through acquisitions by Group Sebino
In a strategic move to bolster its presence in the fire protection industry, Sebino Group, a Lombardy-based company with over 40 years of experience, has announced the acquisition of Fire Protection Solutions (FPS). This acquisition, which involved an investment of over 8 million euros, is expected to expand Sebino's capabilities and market share in the production of fire protection systems.
FPS, another Lombardy-based company, specializes in the design and production of innovative fire protection systems, notably the "water mist" system. The acquisition gives Sebino control over 90% of FPS, with the remaining 10% held by Luca Braido, who will continue working with the Sebino Group in developing FPS.
This strategic move aligns with Sebino's broader strategy to expand its leadership in complex fire protection systems for industrial clients. FPS's diverse clientele, which includes hotels, theaters, residential complexes, museums, power plants, machinery, logistics, civil and military navigation, and defense, will add to Sebino's existing customer base, further solidifying its position in the market.
The Sebino Group, known for its design, development, installation, and maintenance of integrated and automatic fire safety systems, has seen its turnover exceed 80 million euros after the acquisition of FPS, with a total of 290 employees. The Group is structured in divisions: fire protection, security, and service, and has a subsidiary in Romania that designs and realizes fire protection systems for the local market and neighboring countries.
While Sebino is already a key player in the Automatic Fire Sprinkler System Market, the acquisition of FPS is a significant step forward in consolidating positions in the fire safety solutions market for the civil and industrial sectors. The integration of FPS's innovative fire protection systems into Sebino's existing portfolio could potentially lead to the development of advanced, efficient solutions that appeal to a broader range of customers.
It's worth noting that Sebino's presence extends beyond fire protection, with Sebino Yachts indicating a potential presence in marine or related industries. However, the acquisition of FPS is a clear indication of Sebino's commitment to strengthening its position in the fire protection market.
As the market for fire protection solutions continues to evolve, with a growing emphasis on integration with smart building technologies, Sebino's acquisition of FPS could be a strategic move that positions the company for future growth and success in this sector.
Energy-efficient technology can be a potential outcome of integrating FPS's innovative water mist system into Sebino's fire protection systems, as this technology is known for its reduced water consumption, making it more energy-efficient compared to traditional systems.
The acquisition of FPS, with its expertise in technology, will enable Sebino to explore new opportunities in developing advanced, smart fire protection systems that comply with the growing market trends of integration with smart building technologies.
