Garrison Tech's SAVI Revolutionizes Secure Web Browsing
British cybersecurity startup Garrison Technology has introduced SAVI (Silicon Assured Video Isolation), a novel solution for secure web browsing. The product, developed by Poly (formerly Plantronics), enables users to view any web content without compromising company security.
SAVI works by configuring pairs of mobile phone chips to run browsers and verify streams. The chips compress and encrypt media streams, sending only a rendering of the browser's screen to the endpoint. This process ensures that no malicious code reaches the user's device.
Garrison Technology, co-founded in 2015 by CTO Henry Harrison and CEO David Garfield, aims to provide data loss prevention. SAVI allows pages and attachments to be read but not uploaded, protecting sensitive information. The company sells its product as a business enablement tool, focusing on secure access to web content rather than traditional security features.
SAVI, by Garrison Technology, offers a unique approach to secure web browsing. After a user's session ends, the chips are powered down and rebooted into a new state, removing any potential malware. This innovative solution enables users to access any web content while maintaining robust company security.
