Geely & Tencent Team Up Again for Digital Marketing, Autonomous Driving & Low-Carbon Initiatives
Geely Auto Group and tech giant Tencent have inked a deal to collaborate in digital marketing, autonomous driving, and low-carbon development. This isn't their first dance, with the pair previously working together in 2018 on digital services for high-speed trains.
The new agreement will see the companies explore ways to integrate mobile apps with in-vehicle multimedia services, and delve into opportunities in intelligent transportation. Tencent will lend its expertise to Geely's digital upgrade, sustainable development, and low-carbon initiatives. Both companies will also join forces to nurture high-tech talent.
The cooperation will span industrial digitalisation across product development, research, manufacturing, marketing, user operation, and after-sales service. Geely, led by President Li Shufu, aims to boost user experience by digitally upgrading its industrial chain.
