Geotab's Last Mile Sales and Business Development in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) is led by Sincehel.

Fabian Seithel, a seasoned professional with a background at Geotab and Sixt, has been appointed as the new Associate Vice President Last Mile (LCV) Sales & Business Development for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) at Geotab. In his new role, Mr. Seithel will extend his expertise over the entire EMEA region, with a focus on the delivery industry and delivery fleets.

Mr. Seithel's appointment comes at a time when telematics is becoming a standard commodity in the delivery industry, as stated by Mr. Seithel himself. He aims to cement Geotab's footprint alongside ecosystem partners, with a goal for Geotab to be the de facto partner to the industry, delivering data-driven, added-value services.

Geotab has seen a significant increase in adoption, particularly among Last Mile organizations, and Mr. Seithel's team will aim to build on this momentum and further strengthen Geotab's market-leading position in the sector. The team will focus on increasing uptime and optimizing cost-cutting and sustainability targets for Last Mile organizations.

Mr. Seithel's previous roles at Geotab were primarily focused on the Nordics, Central, and Eastern Europe. From 2017 to 2021, he served as Business Development Manager, and then Associate Vice President Sales & Business Development for the same regions.

The competition in the Last Mile transportation and logistics sector within the EMEA region is fierce, with Geotab's main competitors including Verizon Connect, Trimble, Samsara, and Fleet Complete. These leading fleet management and telematics providers have a significant presence in Europe and the Middle East.

Additional competitors in vehicle tracking and telematics solutions offering GPS, real-time monitoring, and AI-driven analytics include Motorola Solutions, Zebra Technologies, Blackline Safety, Spider Tracks, Honeywell International, and SmartDrive Systems (Omnitracs). The fleet management market in Europe involves major players such as Geotab, Verizon Connect, Trimble, Samsara, and Fleet Complete, which have experienced rapid subscription growth due to the adoption of real-time fleet monitoring and telematics platforms.

Mr. Seithel's aim is to apply lessons learned from working with the largest fleets to all organizations that move goods through communities in a safe and sustainable manner. His short-term ambition is to continue increasing Geotab's success in the industry, particularly in the delivery space. Mr. Seithel's new role is effective from March 2023.
