Global AI collaboration now underway: CamCom Technologies of India forges a strategic alliance with ERGO Group AG, deploying AI technologies in the insurance sector on a global scale.

In a significant move, ERGO Group AG, one of Europe's leading insurance groups, has entered into a strategic partnership with CamCom Technologies, a computer vision company based in Bengaluru, India. This collaboration is set to revolutionise the insurance industry, particularly in the realm of claims processing.

ERGO Group AG, known for its extensive product portfolio for private and corporate clients in every key insurance category, is focusing on digital transformation. HDFC ERGO, a joint venture between HDFC Bank Limited and ERGO International AG, is at the forefront of this digital revolution, transforming into an AI-first company.

CamCom Technologies' AI-powered visual inspection solution is already active, having been rolled out and live in the European markets of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. Further phased rollouts across other ERGO markets in Europe are planned, marking CamCom's growing global footprint.

The partnership makes CamCom the primary technology partner for ERGO's AI-powered visual inspection solution. This solution allows insurance customers to capture and upload images of vehicles or properties via their smartphones for accurate, auditable, and scalable pre-inspection and damage assessments.

CamCom's proprietary Large Vision Model (LVM) is trained on a dataset of over 450 million customer-validated images, ensuring high precision in damage assessments. The LVM complies with international data standards like GDPR, ensuring data privacy and security.

HDFC ERGO, one of the leading private sector general insurance companies of India, issued Rs 3.4 crore policies in FY25 and boasts one of the best claims payout ratios in the General Insurance industry. The company has a completely digital sales process with 299 branches and 600+ digital offices across India, and 70%+ claims for retail products and over 80% of service interactions are catered digitally.

This partnership reflects CamCom's expanding global footprint as a trusted AI provider and reinforces its position as a world-class platform delivering enterprise-ready AI solutions for critical sectors. However, it is important to note that the partnership is subject to IRDAI approvals.
