Hexagon Unveils VG Software 2025.3: A Game Changer in CT-Scan Data Analysis
Hexagon has rolled out VG Software 2025.3, a major update to its top-tier CT-scan data analysis platform. This release aims to enhance efficiency in non-destructive evaluation and quality assurance.
The update introduces a revamped Porosity & Inclusion Analysis (PIA) tool, recipient of the 2025 iF Design Award. This tool combines various methods into a single workflow, making complex analyses more accessible.
The redesigned PIA tool boasts an intuitive interface, streamlined workflow, and simplified navigation. It enables engineers to transition smoothly from analysis to reporting within a unified environment.
Other improvements include Direct 3D Dimensioning, allowing users to measure dimensions directly in the 3D view by simply dragging and dropping measurement lines. Expanded Mesh Import/Export now supports GLB/GLTF, AMF, and 3MF file formats, facilitating data exchange.
Hexagon has also addressed common challenges in optical data alignment with improved Deformation Field Handling for Optical Scans. Additionally, the release introduces Multipart Coordinate Measurement, enabling users to manage measurement plans across multiple parts from a single central workspace.
VG Software 2025.3, developed and released by Hexagon, offers a comprehensive update to its industry-leading CT-scan data analysis platform. With its revamped PIA tool, Direct 3D Dimensioning, expanded mesh import/export, and improved optical scan handling, the update promises to boost efficiency and ease of use in non-destructive evaluation and quality assurance.
