The JLL report reveals that you guys also joins the fun, with 35.8% of shoppers planning to use Facebook for gift inspiration, followed by Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and Pinterest.

But hey, the Gen Zers really know how to light up the digital space, right? Look no further than TikTok, the platform that's gaining popularity amongst the younger crowd. It's the go-to place to discuss their holiday shopping thoughts AND search for gifts, with 70% of this cohort showing interest. That's not all, Gen Z also leads product research on YouTube alongside TikTok.

So, it's obvious that social media has become a gold mine for holiday shopping inspiration. And it doesn't stop there! Mobile devices are now the literal shopping carts as online shopping via mobile devices is projected to overtake desktop buying for the first time ever, according to an Adobe Analytics report. Clever shoppers, right? By the way, smartphones were responsible for $5.3 billion worth of online Black Friday transactions alone, marking a 10.4% increase from the previous year. Impressive, isn't it?

As we move forward, the growth of social commerce is projected to reach an impressive whopping $150 billion GMV by 2028, with the younger generations leading the charge.
