Honda to present its initial electric motorcycle on an international stage, set for September 2nd.
On September 2, 2025, Honda is set to unveil a new electric performance motorcycle, following the success of their electric scooters in India such as the Honda Activa e. The upcoming bike is a street-naked model, boasting a slightly more aggressive riding posture and modern features.
The teaser for the upcoming electric bike showcases LED DRL, bar-end mirrors on clip-on handlebars, and a large TFT screen. The bike is reminiscent of the EV Fun concept first shown at EICMA 2024 and is expected to produce up to around 50 hp.
The new electric motorcycle will come with CCS2 fast charging, making it compatible with the same fast chargers as electric cars. The battery options will likely include a 4.1 kWh dual-battery pack or a 6.2 kWh triple-battery pack, with the larger pack offering a claimed range of around 170 km.
While the bike is confirmed for a global launch, Honda has not yet announced plans to bring it to India. In India, Honda is focusing more on electric scooters, with the Honda Activa e being one of their offerings. The Activa e features a 6 kW PMSM motor, a 102 km range per charge, and is priced between Rs 1.17 and 1.52 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The upcoming electric motorcycle aims at a higher-performance segment compared to such scooters. More details on the upcoming Honda e-bike will be available in the coming days. The bike is expected to compete in the electric motorcycle market, with the made-in-India Ultraviolette F77 being one of its potential competitors.
For those interested in electric motorcycles, the upcoming Honda e-bike promises a sporty, fast-charging electric ride with mid-range performance. However, its Indian launch date and pricing remain unconfirmed as of now. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new development in the world of electric vehicles.
