Hyundai is giving its popular Santa Fe SUV a significant facelift for 2027. The updated model will adopt the brand's latest 'Art of Steel' design language, first seen on the next-generation NEXO. The changes aim to give the Santa Fe a more aerodynamic, premium appearance, appealing to families and urban drivers.

The first prototype of the facelifted 2027 Hyundai Santa Fe was recently spotted in South Korea by Healer TV. The facelift will bring the Santa Fe's design closer to the sleeker lines of the Hyundai Tucson, marking a radical mid-cycle design update. Key changes include a redesigned front fascia, refined grille, sleeker body sides, and revised rear with vertical taillights and a relocated license plate.

All 2.5-liter turbo Santa Fe models will switch from the controversial eight-speed dual-clutch transmission to a torque-converter automatic transmission. This transmission upgrade will also apply to the Hyundai Santa Cruz, which shares the same drivetrain. The hybrid Santa Fe will continue with its 1.6-liter turbo engine and six-speed automatic transmission.

The 2027 Hyundai Santa Fe Facelift is expected to debut in late 2026 or early 2027. Hyundai aims to broaden the Santa Fe's appeal with these design and transmission updates, attracting more families and urban drivers to the SUV.
