In July, GWM successfully offloads 104,372 vehicles, with a notable 33% attributable to Neutral Electric Vehicles (NEVs) sales.

Great Wall Motor (GWM) has reported its July sales figures, showcasing a strong focus on hybrid vehicles and a significant global growth trend.

In July, the company sold a total of 104,372 vehicles, marking a 14.34 percent year-on-year increase but a 5.71 percent decrease from June. This growth was driven by several brands within the GWM portfolio.

The Haval brand, GWM's electric vehicle (NEV) brand, led the way with 56,221 vehicles sold, accounting for 53.87 percent of GWM's monthly sales. The Tank brand followed closely with 20,020 units sold, while Wey and Ora, GWM's sub-brands, accounted for 33.12 percent of the total sales with 34,347 vehicles combined. Wey sold 10,045 vehicles, and Ora sold 4,300.

The sales figures for Haval reveal a strong focus on hybrid vehicles. The Haval H6, for instance, is projected to account for over 20 percent of H6 sales, with hybrids comprising about 60 percent of total H6 sales in markets like Australia in 2025. This preference for hybrids is reflected in GWM's overall strategy, with the company emphasizing a balanced NEV portfolio where hybrid vehicles dominate over pure electric vehicles.

GWM's overseas sales in July totaled 41,088 vehicles, showing an increase of 7.60 percent year-on-year and 2.55 percent from June. The company's NEV sales for July were 34,593 units, up 43.27 percent year-on-year but down 4.98 percent from June.

In the first seven months of the year, GWM sold a total of 674,161 vehicles, with NEVs accounting for 33.14 percent of the total sales. The company sold 195,007 NEVs in the same period, indicating a strong commitment to electric and hybrid vehicles.
