Numix, a Decade-Old Expert in Immersive Learning, to Showcase Innovative Tools at Laval Virtual 2024

Celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, Numix, a digital learning specialist based in the south-west of France, will exhibit at the Laval Virtual 2024 event from April 10 to 12, on booth A56. The company focuses on providing tailor-made digital and immersive learning solutions to companies seeking to digitalize their training.

At the event, Numix will demonstrate DeepTwin, their internal engine for developing immersive simulators for training. The latest developments and new technological bricks, like the Link LMS brick and the Supervisor mode, will be highlighted. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a realistic immersive experience, where they will take on the role of a technician and compete to complete a procedure with the fewest mistakes.

One of the standout features of the DeepTwin tool is Supervisor mode, designed to simplify the running of virtual reality training sessions. Due to recent complications with Chromecast support on the Meta Quest 3, this mode provides a direct solution, allowing trainers to start scenarios on all VR headsets with a single click and monitor learners' activity via simultaneous screen feedback. The system operates without reliance on an internet connection, making it perfect for remote or offline environments.

Since the emergence of standalone virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) headsets, these technologies have significantly transformed the landscape. These all-in-one devices eliminate the need for a computer, providing users with increased freedom of movement and enabling the creation of specialized content. As a result, VR and mixed reality experiences have become more accessible to the general public.

By enhancing interactivity, immersion, and realism, immersive technologies hold immense potential for shaping a future where learning is more engaging, remote working more productive, healthcare safer, entertainment more immersive, and social and environmental awareness more widespread. The integration of artificial intelligence further enriches these experiences, heralding new opportunities for a positive and transformative impact on our future.
