Shade Innovations, a leading provider of smart shading solutions, has announced the launch of its new 1000-Watt Power over Ethernet (PoE) Switch. This latest offering is designed to deliver high-performance power, integrated efficiency, and exceptional value in one solution.
The 1K PoE Switch offers a total power of 1000 watts, supporting high-demand devices like motorized shades, IP cameras, access points, and more across multiple ports. It can deliver 90 watts per port on up to eight ports or 30 watts across all 24 ports, providing flexible power distribution to connected devices.
Key features of the 1K PoE Switch include full gigabit performance to maintain fast and reliable network speeds even under heavy load, plug and play setup that installs in minutes and works seamlessly with standard PoE and PoE+ devices, a robust shade-safe design with advanced electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection to safeguard connected motors and devices, and seamless compatibility with the Shade Innovations IP Gateway and all SI motors.
One of the standout aspects of the 1K PoE Switch is its cost efficiency. It delivers 3x the power per dollar compared to any other PoE switch on the market, and at just about 25% of the cost of comparable legacy PoE switches, it represents a significant cost savings for integrators and end users.
The switch also features a quiet built-in power supply, making it suitable for powering dozens of devices simultaneously. It will be available in mid-September 2025 through authorized Shade Innovations and Screen Innovations dealers.
The 1K PoE Switch is PoE-connected and integrates seamlessly with automation platforms like Crestron, Control4, Savant, and others. It is engineered for demanding environments, including smart buildings, AV automation platforms, surveillance systems, and large-scale commercial installations.
