The Lynk & Co 07 EM-P Lidar edition, the latest offering from the Swedish-Chinese automaker, is set to hit the roads with a blend of style, performance, and cutting-edge technology.

This new model retains the 1.5T engine of the current model but boasts upgraded electric motor and battery pack specifications. The vehicle measures 4,835 mm in length, 8 mm longer than its predecessor, with a width of 1,800 mm, height of 1,480 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,843 mm. Weighing in at 1,885 kg, the new 07 EM-P is 30 kg lighter than the previous model.

The exterior design of the new 07 EM-P follows the "Next Day" concept, featuring a roof-mounted lidar sensor, a new "Aurora Silver" paint, and an adjusted lower front face. The Lidar edition also sports reprofiled bumpers and a diffuser-style rear bumper with a sportier look.

Under the hood, the 07 EM-P Lidar edition combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 120 kW (161 hp) with a single front-mounted electric motor producing 160 kW, delivering a total system output of 280 kW (375 hp).

The star of the show, however, is the onboard G-Pilot H7 advanced driving assistance system, powered by a NVIDIA Drive Thor chip with a computing power of 700 TOPS. This system enables autonomous features such as highway navigation, urban Navigation on Autopilot (NOA) without relying on high-definition maps, and door-to-door route planning. The 07 EM-P competes favourably with other advanced brands like XPeng and Zeekr in this regard.

While the exact electric motor specification for the new 07 EM-P has not been revealed, the vehicle is a hybrid electric model, offering a pure electric range of 103 km (assuming CLTC conditions). The precise electric-only range or total range figures have not been specified in the current information.

The new Lynk & Co 07 EM-P is not the only model being updated by Lynk & Co, as the company also introduces the budget-friendly Z20 with a range of 430 km. Despite this, the 07 EM-P Lidar edition stands out with its sportier design, advanced driving assistance, and hybrid powertrain optimised for strong performance and reduced weight.

In the Chinese auto sales market, domestic brands lead in sales below 34,750 USD, while the premium market remains with international giants. Interestingly, the new Lynk & Co 07 EM-P topped the one-year value retention rate list for plug-in hybrid sedans in the first half of 2025 according to the China Automobile Dealers Association (CADA).

With the Lynk & Co 07 EM-P Lidar edition, the automaker continues to push the boundaries of hybrid electric technology and autonomous driving capabilities, offering a compelling choice for consumers seeking a blend of style, performance, and innovation.

The Lynk & Co 07 EM-P Lidar edition, with its blend of style, performance, and cutting-edge technology, also showcases advancements in the automotive industry, particularly in the field of technology and finance, as it represents a significant investment in hybrid electric technology and autonomous driving capabilities. Furthermore, the vehicle's integration of a powerful onboard G-Pilot H7 advanced driving assistance system, powered by NVIDIA's Drive Thor chip, points to synergies between the automotive and technology industries, contributing to the finance sector by offering a competitive offering in the premium market.
