New AKASO Sight-300 Digital Night Vision Monocular Offers Affordable Full-Color Night Vision

AKASO, known for producing affordable action cameras, has launched a new outdoor gadget called the Sight-300. This full-color digital night vision monocular is designed for movement or mounting to a helmet, making it an ideal tool for wildlife watchers, night hikers, and backcountry explorers.

The Sight-300 features a 1/1.79-inch CMOS sensor, an F/1.0 lens, and AKASO's quad-core AI-ISP image engine, enabling full-color night vision even in very low light (0.001 lux). It supports video recording up to 4K at 30 fps in daylight and 2K at 60 fps at night, and offers 8× zoom capability.

The monocular has a 60° field of view and can see up to 200 meters in the dark. It is lightweight at 280 grams and rated IP65 for weather resistance. The Sight-300's AI engine is designed to reduce motion blur, eliminate grain, and restore up to 99% color accuracy.

Additional features include removable batteries with up to 4 hours of life, the ability to operate continuously while charging via power bank, and app connectivity for remote control and expanded functionality. It also has two modes—Action and Observation—to optimize image capture depending on use. Storage supports up to 512GB external memory, making it suitable for extended recording sessions.

The Sight-300 stands out for its ability to work in conditions as dark as starlight without using infrared (IR) light, providing natural, full-color night vision with sharp details. This makes it suited for activities like wildlife observation and security.

The AKASO Sight-300 will launch on Kickstarter later this year, with first shipments expected in November 2025.
