Jaguar Classic Marks E-Type's 50th Anniversary with Bespoke Commemorative Cars
Jaguar Classic has crafted a pair of stunning E-Type Commemorative cars to mark the 50th anniversary of the last E-Type rolling off the production line. These bespoke vehicles, commissioned by a Southeast Asian client, are not for sale but showcase Jaguar's commitment to its iconic past.
The cars, finished in Signet Green and Opal Black, pay homage to the original E-Type's timeless design. They are powered by a modern 3.8-liter straight-six engine with electronic fuel injection and a five-speed manual transmission. The exterior features period-correct Curly Hub-style wheels and custom emblems, while the interiors are upholstered in premium Bridge of Weir leather with hand-crafted leather inserts and modern amenities.
The attention to detail is evident in the bespoke elements handcrafted by Deakin & Francis, a jewelry manufacturer established in 1786. Revere London, another renowned British company, was commissioned to handcraft gold, mother-of-pearl, and silver elements for the two cars. Jaguar Classic produces these continuation cars on a made-to-order basis, ensuring each E-Type Commemorative is a unique celebration of the past.
The Jaguar Classic E-Type Commemorative cars are a testament to Jaguar's commitment to preserving its heritage. While these two examples are not for sale, Jaguar Classic invites interested parties to commission their own continuation cars, allowing them to own a piece of automotive history tailored to their preferences.
