BOISE, Idaho - Dorsey & Whitney LLP, an international law firm, announced today the addition of Joshua Nelson as a Partner in its Patent group in Boise. Nelson, a seasoned patent attorney, brings over two decades of experience in patent portfolio management, including the preparation and prosecution of patent applications.
In his new role, Nelson will oversee various aspects of patent portfolio management, from portfolio analysis to patent licensing and litigation support. He has represented clients across diverse fields such as semiconductor device design, telecommunications, aerospace, software, and more. Additionally, Nelson has experience serving as in-house patent counsel for prominent global technology companies, overseeing vast patent portfolios comprising several thousand patents.
Nelson joins Dorsey from an AM LAW 50 firm, where he served as a Partner and the Firmwide Vice-Chair of the Patent Prosecution & Portfolio Counseling Practice. He holds a J.D. from Boston College Law School and a B.A. in Physics from the University of Dallas.
